Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a stable opportunity in Austin, Texas? We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to join our thriving logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is critical in maintaining the flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring products are stored correctly and moved efficiently to meet operational demands. We value safety above all else and expect all operators to adhere to stringent protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Transporting materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stacking and arranging merchandise securely.
- Conducting pre-operational checks on forklift equipment and reporting any issues.
- Assisting with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock locations.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Working collaboratively with other warehouse associates and supervisors.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Performing other warehouse duties as assigned, which may include some manual lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
