Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our facility in San Jose, California. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your responsibilities will include inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders, documenting receipts, and coordinating with suppliers. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to Safety are essential. You will be an integral part of our supply chain management, contributing to the efficiency of our operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. We offer competitive compensation and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify delivered items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all received goods accurately in the inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, prioritizing Safety.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Safety protocols.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required in the receiving area.
- Ensure efficient handling of goods to support overall logistics flow.
- Ability to handle Lifting of up to 50 lbs when necessary.
