We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our Jacksonville, Florida warehouse team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout our facility, supporting our overall logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure a smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. Accuracy in handling and tracking materials is vital for inventory control and customer satisfaction. - Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and trailers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
