Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage locations.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse according to instructions.
- Stack and arrange products to optimize space and ensure stability.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and locations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking and packing.
- Identify and report any hazards in the workplace.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational targets.
- Perform duties involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the correct handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
