Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse operations in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, supporting efficient logistics and supply chain management. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining detailed inventory records, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies. You will work closely with warehouse teams to ensure proper stock rotation, identify aging or obsolete inventory, and maintain an organized storage system. A strong commitment to safety, including the correct use of PPE, is paramount. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precise inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) and manage product aging.
  • Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and operations teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Manage and track damaged, returned, or obsolete inventory.
  • Uphold all safety standards and ensure the proper use of PPE within inventory areas.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock status, and shrinkage.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and supply chain logistics.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus.
