Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, lift, stack, and position materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas such as receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock put-away and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring aisles and loading docks are clear.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Accurately track material movements as required by the warehouse management system.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification and a strong driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and forklift operation best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
