About
Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our expanding logistics team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment to load, unload, transport, and store inventory. You will ensure materials are accurately staged for outgoing shipments and properly put away upon receipt, maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures are essential. We are seeking individuals who are detail-oriented and possess excellent hand-eye coordination. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse associates to maintain workflow and productivity. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and store inventory in appropriate locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all Safety protocols.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Strict adherence to all company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, including forklift operation, is required.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Understanding of inventory management and logistics principles.
- Commitment to following all Safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
