We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of materials within our warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to transport goods, ensuring inventory is organized and accessible, and assisting with shipping and receiving processes. A strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the ability to operate equipment safely are paramount. This position is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of goods and supporting our overall Logistics operations. We pride ourselves on a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere to rigorous Safety standards and utilize appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage locations and from storage to shipping areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse areas.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times while operating machinery or in designated zones.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Contribute to a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Must be capable of Lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Logistics and inventory management systems.
- Willingness to strictly follow PPE guidelines.
