Job Summary:
Join our innovative logistics team as a Warehouse Technician in Portland, Oregon! In this vital role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art warehouse. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing warehouse equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring all machinery operates at peak performance. This position requires a strong technical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be working with a variety of material handling equipment, conveyor systems, and other warehouse machinery. A commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. You will be responsible for identifying potential hazards and implementing solutions to prevent accidents. This role involves physical work, including lifting and maneuvering equipment parts, so a good level of physical fitness is necessary. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can contribute to our goal of operational excellence and continuous improvement within our logistics network. Understanding the importance of safety in a warehouse environment and adhering to all safety regulations is critical. Regular maintenance checks and the ability to perform minor repairs are key to this role. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by identifying and mitigating hazards.

  • Support logistics operations by minimizing downtime.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with various types of warehouse machinery.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and climbing.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
