About
We are looking for a reliable and diligent Material Handler to join our logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this vital role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse, supporting both incoming and outgoing shipments. Safety is paramount in this position, and adherence to all established protocols is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervision immediately.
- Support overall warehouse operations and assist team members as needed.
- Contribute to the efficient flow of goods within the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines meticulously.
- Must wear all required PPE, including safety footwear and protective gear.
- Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence in logistics.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
