Join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida, as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to the efficient flow of goods within our busy warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial trucks (like forklifts) and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure materials are correctly staged for shipping and put away accurately upon receipt. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the ability to handle materials with care. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You'll work closely with a team to manage the movement of goods, contributing directly to our logistics success. We provide all necessary PPE and conduct regular safety training. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety standards.
- Inspect equipment regularly for proper functioning and report any issues.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to following Safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
