Our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role ensures the precision and reliability of our warehouse inventory, a cornerstone of our operational success. You will be tasked with overseeing inventory counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and improve accuracy. The Inventory Control Specialist is vital for maintaining efficient operations and supporting our broader logistics goals. A strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards are essential. You will work collaboratively to optimize inventory processes and ensure product availability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain the accuracy of inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory flow, identify slow-moving items, and report on stock status.
- Implement measures to prevent inventory shrinkage and damage.
- Ensure all goods are handled and stored appropriately, following Lifting best practices.
- Uphold the companyโs commitment to workplace Safety , including the use of PPE .
- Provide data and insights to support continuous improvement in our Logistics operations.
- Train other team members on inventory control best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain.
- Expertise in WMS software and advanced inventory tracking techniques.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and the necessity of PPE .
- Knowledge of Logistics and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
