Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate in Detroit, Michigan! We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to contribute to the efficient operation of our busy distribution center. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, managing inventory, and preparing items for shipment. This role is vital to our logistics network, ensuring that goods move smoothly and accurately through our facility. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe work environment, which includes proper adherence to all safety procedures, the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and awareness of safe lifting practices. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and protocols.
- Ensure proper usage of all required PPE, such as safety vests, gloves, and eye protection.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and warehouse safety procedures.
- Commitment to wearing and using all mandated PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
