Job Summary:
Our Atlanta, Georgia distribution center is looking for a diligent Material Handler to manage the movement of goods throughout our facility. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our logistics chain. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring inventory is stored safely and efficiently. A key aspect of this role involves adhering to strict safety regulations and utilizing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to handle frequent lifting of materials. You will work in a dynamic environment, coordinating with various departments to ensure operational efficiency. Responsibilities include receiving, identifying, sorting, and storing materials, as well as picking and preparing items for shipment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and report any issues.
  • Utilize appropriate PPE, including safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Support the logistics team by ensuring materials are readily available for production and shipping.
  • Ability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 70 lbs.
