About
Our growing facility in Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. This includes operating various types of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, as well as manually moving items. You will play a key role in supporting our overall logistics operations, ensuring that materials are available when and where they are needed. Maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety is crucial, and all employees are expected to follow established protocols rigorously. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. This is a hands-on role that requires physical dexterity and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization.
- Receive incoming materials and verify against documentation.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including staging and labeling.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE , including safety glasses, gloves, and sturdy footwear.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support the broader Logistics team in daily operations.
- This role involves considerable physical activity, including Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting .
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with Logistics principles is a plus.
