About
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler for our warehouse in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is integral to our logistics operations, focusing on the efficient movement and organization of materials within the facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, and preparing goods for outgoing shipments. You will operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, ensuring that all items are handled with care and stored properly. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the consistent use of PPE , is mandatory. This position requires physical stamina, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Tasks will involve loading and unloading trucks, which frequently requires manual lifting of up to 50 lbs. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, proactive, and dedicated to supporting our overall logistics objectives. Comprehensive training on equipment and safety procedures will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and accurately store incoming materials.
- Retrieve necessary materials for outgoing orders and prepare them for shipment.
- Operate manual material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Load and unload trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining stock accuracy.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and ensure a safety -first environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE .
- Support the smooth functioning of overall logistics operations.
- Perform manual lifting and moving of goods as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating manual material handling equipment.
- Good organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to perform regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of workplace safety .
- Willingness to consistently use all appropriate PPE .
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics principles.
