POSITION SUMMARY: The Unit Manager will supervise CNA/DTA, CNA/DT, and CNA/DT staff and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UCP/ELC policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; record-keeping; addressing complaints and resolving problems. RN License Required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participate in the Individual Program Plan (IPP) and the Interdisciplinary Team process for each resident upon admission and ongoing.
· Develop and monitor auditing systems to ensure compliance and high-quality services.
· Train and monitor CNA’s.
· Develop and maintain training systems for CNA’s.
· Oversee new hire orientation process for new CNA’s.
· Oversee CNA/DTA staff to include management of staffing levels, training, supervision, performance appraisals, and assist each with the implementation of responsibilities wherever necessary.
· 24 Hour on call rotation for medical emergencies.
· Attend Active Treatment, Activities, and other administrative meetings as necessary.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
· Instruct each employee in the proper method of implementation of plans and behavior management programs.
· Directly supervises CNADTA’s and CNA/DT’s.
· Ensures DT-C, DTs and DTAs are trained in the effective delivery of IPP activities and ensures compliance with habilitation plans.
· Hold staff accountable to compliance with all state and federal regulations and licensure requirements
· Serve as a member of the administration leadership team.
Requirements:
REQUIRED
· Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.
· RN License.
· One-year experience working directly with people with intellectual disabilities.
· Two years’ supervisory experience.
· Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations; Tuberculosis test; proof of immunity from MMR, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis-B.
