Become a Material Handler at our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania distribution center. This role is critical for the effective operation of our warehouse and contributes significantly to our logistics network. You will be responsible for managing the movement of goods, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring accurate inventory placement. Safety is paramount; compliance with all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. This role involves physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting and maneuvering of items. We are dedicated to providing a safe and productive work atmosphere. Your duties will include receiving, staging, and storing materials, as well as preparing them for outbound shipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Move materials to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Ensure proper placement and organization of inventory.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Consistently use all designated PPE as required by safety policy.
- Support inventory control through accurate data entry and cycle counts.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the overall logistics process.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
