Job Summary:
Join our logistics team as a Material Handler in Richmond, Virginia! We are looking for dedicated individuals to ensure the smooth and safe movement of materials within our facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various equipment, receiving and dispatching goods, and maintaining an organized warehouse space. The ideal candidate will have experience with material handling equipment, possess excellent organizational skills, and understand the importance of adhering to strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
  • Follow all warehouse safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Certification and experience operating forklifts or other relevant equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
