Lead our warehouse operations as a Warehouse Supervisor in vibrant Tampa, Florida! Key responsibilities include optimizing warehouse layout, managing inventory accuracy, implementing efficient logistics processes, and ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures. A strong emphasis on safety is critical; you will champion safety initiatives, conduct regular safety training, and ensure compliance with all regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in logistics. Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity in logistics operations.
- Manage inventory control, stock rotation, and cycle counting procedures.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety rules, conducting audits, and providing training on PPE.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet customer demands and operational goals.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Implement process improvements and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in good working order.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance and key metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strong understanding and enforcement of safety protocols, including PPE requirements.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
