About
We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our bustling facility in Houston, Texas. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth movement of materials and products throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing stock. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable of heavy lifting, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. This position requires someone who can work efficiently and accurately in a demanding environment. We offer a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Stage materials for production or shipping.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and organized.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 70 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain operations.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
