Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that goods are handled properly and that operations run smoothly. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be essential for success in this position. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and move materials.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order, reporting any defects immediately.
  • Safely stack and stage merchandise in designated areas, following all safety guidelines and warehouse layouts.
  • Assist with inventory management, including picking and staging orders accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance forklift operation skills and safety knowledge.
  • Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding the movement and placement of goods.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as sweeping, tidying, and light manual labor, which may involve lifting.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, especially those related to safety and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a forklift operator with valid certification. Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and material handling techniques. Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of using appropriate PPE. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be reliable and punctual. High school diploma or GED preferred. Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus. This role demands a strong focus on safety and efficiency in a demanding logistics environment.
