Position Overview: This position is responsible for conducting strategic material management, ensuring the necessary availability to meet production plans, with a focus on operational efficiency and inventory optimization. It requires handling high complexity challenges, demanding extensive supply chain knowledge and acting as a technical reference in solving critical problems.
Responsibilities:
Lead the analysis and implementation of solutions for critical supply chain challenges, ensuring risk mitigation and continuity of production plans.
Establish constant interaction with purchasing, production control, and operations, aligning inventory accuracy and planning parameters to strategic guidelines for each item.
Demonstrate mastery of integrated systems, diagnosing and solving systemic failures promptly and efficiently.
Apply advanced knowledge in data analysis, complex problem resolution, production scheduling, and capacity management, with a broad understanding of supply chain processes.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, contributing strategically to decision‑making and acting as a technical reference for other involved areas.
Key Skills:
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
Ability to make strategic decisions based on data and facts, using analytical tools to evaluate scenarios and devise solutions that directly impact operational efficiency and organizational results.
Problem Solving:
Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques to identify, anticipate and solve organizational, operational or process problems, and ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to different situations.
Teamwork Management:
Know how to establish and manage productive interactions with customers, suppliers and team members, maintaining a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP):
Expertise in material planning processes and systems, focusing on ensuring availability across multiple Caterpillar plants, implementing strategies that maintain optimized inventory levels.
Basic Qualifications:
Full college degree, preferably in Administration and Engineering.
Intermediate English proficiency.
Advanced Office 365 and English skills.
Previous experience in material planning processes.
Experience applying corporate material management systems.
NOTE:
This position requires the candidate to work on site five days a week.
