Our growing logistics company is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy of our inventory, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing inventory control best practices. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a dedication to Safety are critical. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using our WMS.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstocking.
- Implement and refine inventory control policies and procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the proper storage and handling of goods.
- Work collaboratively with logistics and operations teams.
- Champion Safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulations, including proper PPE usage.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar function.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds when necessary.
- Commitment to fostering a Safety-first culture.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
