We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling inventory records, and implementing strategies to optimize stock levels. This position is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to Safety are paramount. You will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety regulations. While this role is primarily focused on data and processes, some physical tasks, including Lifting and moving stock, may be involved. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and improve accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and forecast needs.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth material flow.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting tasks when required.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
