Job DescriptionThe Events Head Chef plays a pivotal role in shaping the culinary reputation of Wythe Hotel. This individual oversees all culinary operations for events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and private dining.
This position requires exceptional skill in French cuisine and genuine leadership ability. The successful candidate will design and execute seasonal event menus that align with Wythe's culinary philosophy.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of professional kitchen experience, including 3-5 years leading events, catering, or high-volume operations.
A strong foundation in classical and contemporary technique is essential, as well as clear communication skills to work effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
The Events Head Chef must also possess coaching and team-building ability, experience working with sales and operations teams, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
This role directly impacts whether clients choose Wythe Hotel for their most important celebrations.
Responsibilities- Menu Development: Design and execute seasonal event menus that align with Wythe's culinary philosophy.
- Customized Menus: Create customized menus for weddings, corporate events, and private dining.
- Event Kitchen Management: Manage event kitchen staffing, inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Coordination: Coordinate timing and execution across multiple simultaneous events.
- FDA Compliance: Ensure food safety compliance and health department standards.
- Culinary Experience: 7-10 years of professional kitchen experience.
