Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a challenging opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri? We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center and plays a key part in our overall logistics chain. Your expertise ensures materials are handled safely and effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered equipment safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stack and retrieve merchandise from various levels of racking.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Always utilize appropriate PPE , including hard hats and safety shoes.
- Perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of items to ensure proper placement or securing.
- Contribute significantly to the efficiency and smooth operation of our Logistics processes.
The ideal candidate must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. Experience with different types of forklifts is a strong asset. Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all operating procedures is required.
