Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all shipping documentation, including labels, manifests, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track deliveries.
- Verify the accuracy of orders being shipped against packing slips and customer orders.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding shipment status.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records.
- Ensure packages are appropriately packed, labeled, and secured for transit.
- Operate shipping software and related equipment with proficiency.
- Support inventory management tasks as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to a safe and productive logistics environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is essential.
- Proficiency with shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) and MS Office.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and following all safety guidelines.
