About
Join our growing logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Material Handler! We are looking for strong, dependable individuals to manage the movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to shipping. You will operate various types of equipment to move, load, and unload materials, maintaining order and efficiency throughout the warehouse. Your physical stamina and commitment to safety will be key to success in this demanding yet rewarding position. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Stack and arrange materials in a neat and organized manner.
- Inspect equipment for damage or defects before operation and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse protocols for material handling and storage.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate footwear, to ensure your safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or operating forklifts is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines and wearing required PPE for your protection in the logistics environment.
