About
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our logistics team in Miami, Florida. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our warehouse, involving the physical movement of materials, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining an organized workspace. You will play a key part in our supply chain, ensuring materials are processed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Sort and organize materials for storage or shipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure all materials are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Operate equipment like pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (certification and training provided for qualified individuals).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support other warehouse functions and team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Safety protocols.
- Familiarity with hand tools and warehouse equipment.
- Good communication skills.
