As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and products. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specific instructions.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety procedures.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and material handling.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Adhere to all Lifting guidelines to prevent injury.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency in all logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations.
