We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise is key to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring the timely movement of goods within our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets, products, and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Ensure all movements are performed with care to prevent damage to products and property.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as order picking and packing.
- Participate in regular safety training and meetings.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and a clean driving record within the warehouse.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts if needed.
