We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our busy logistics hub in Sacramento, California. If you have experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment and are committed to safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you! This role is critical for the smooth movement of goods within our warehouse, from receiving to dispatch. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, organizing, and staging materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety standards, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counting processes.
- Follow all logistics procedures and guidelines.
- This role requires regular lifting and moving of materials, with loads up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform frequent lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE correctly.
