We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring all incoming goods are accurately accounted for and processed efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect incoming products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately for storage.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or staging.
- Must be comfortable with physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy lifting throughout the shift.
