We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring timely placement and retrieval of inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving functions. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, highly skilled in forklift operation, and committed to maintaining an organized and productive work environment. You will play a key role in the day-to-day efficiency of our warehouse, handling a variety of materials and contributing to overall operational success. Your precision and care are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to and from designated areas.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues or damages.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain organized storage of materials, ensuring proper placement and stacking.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and free of obstructions.
- Follow all relevant regulations for forklift operation and warehouse Safety.
- May involve occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs when not operating equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to using PPE consistently.
- Understanding of logistics workflows.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting when needed.
