About
We are hiring a Material Handler for our facility in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, supporting receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. You will operate various equipment and work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. This is a hands-on role vital to our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
- Assist in receiving and stocking of inventory.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all materials are properly identified and stored.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting of materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Experience in logistics environments is a plus.
