We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Richmond, Virginia. This critical role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our logistics network. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, a strong understanding of Safety protocols, and the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving operational goals. You will be instrumental in optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding our high standards for productivity and Safety. This is a leadership position with significant impact.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Implement and enforce all Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accuracy and minimize losses.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct regular Safety inspections and ensure the proper use of PPE by all staff.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment, addressing any potential hazards promptly.
- Handle employee relations issues and performance management.
- Must be able to assist with tasks requiring moderate Lifting when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and computer applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of workplace Safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with Safety training and implementation of PPE policies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Capability to perform moderate Lifting tasks.
