As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of goods within our warehouse facility. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring all shipments are accurate and undamaged.
- Move materials from receiving areas to storage locations and throughout the warehouse.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment according to picking lists and instructions.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including shipping and receiving tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be comfortable with heavy Lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
