Job Summary:
Join our team as a Material Handler in Madison, Wisconsin! We are seeking energetic individuals to manage the movement of materials within our facility. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved, stored, and prepared for shipment safely and accurately. This position is fundamental to our logistics chain, supporting the timely flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to production or shipping areas.
  • Verify material counts and identify any discrepancies.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Utilize appropriate PPE during all tasks involving material handling.
  • Follow all company procedures and adhere to strict safety protocols.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with basic inventory control principles.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
