Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our New York City, New York location. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse systems are essential for success.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Process incoming and outgoing inventory movements, ensuring accuracy.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations staff to ensure efficient inventory flow.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for inventory control.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for optimization.
  • While direct heavy lifting may be limited, the role requires mobility and the ability to occasionally assist with moving stock for counts.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and the importance of PPE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
