We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities, ensuring all equipment and infrastructure are in optimal working condition. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the overall efficiency and safety of the warehouse environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to the seamless flow of goods within our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Assist with installations and upgrades of warehouse systems.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a strong understanding of logistics.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and operational efficiency.
- Be prepared for lifting tasks as required, within safe limits and with appropriate equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
