We are seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington. The Warehouse Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be responsible for inventory management, scheduling shipments, coordinating with transport teams, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse management or a related logistics field. We are committed to providing a secure and productive workplace, emphasizing the importance of proper PPE and safe lifting techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure all warehouse staff adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts if certified.
- Assist with training new warehouse personnel on procedures and safety protocols.
- Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Generate reports on warehouse productivity, inventory levels, and shipping status.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and WMS software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience with PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
