We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah. This crucial role supports our extensive logistics network by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for transporting, stacking, loading, and unloading materials within the facility. Precision, vigilance, and a strong adherence to Safety protocols are essential for success. You will work closely with our warehouse team to maintain optimal inventory levels and operational flow. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in a growing logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move palletized goods.
- Load and unload trucks, rail cars, and other vehicles.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from various warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and shipping processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting warehouse Safety.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Tasks may involve occasional Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience are required. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of forklift Safety regulations and best practices. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Must be able to perform occasional Lifting and stand for extended periods. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
