We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and products. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount in maintaining an organized and productive warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks efficiently and safely.
- Moving materials from receiving to storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Picking orders accurately and preparing them for shipment.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and assisting with stock counts.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, typically up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
