About
Join our expanding logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced and safety-focused individuals to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and count materials. As a Forklift Operator, you are instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our daily operations. You will ensure that all equipment is used correctly and that safety protocols are followed, including the appropriate use of PPE. Your role is critical to our logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered equipment.
- Load and unload pallets and materials from trucks and storage locations.
- Transport materials efficiently to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and basic maintenance checks on equipment.
- Stack and retrieve materials from various heights.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring safe passage for others.
- Handle tasks that involve regular Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven forklift operation experience in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform Lifting duties up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to operate machinery safely.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
