About
We are recruiting a reliable Material Handler for our busy warehouse facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are staged correctly for order fulfillment and outbound shipments. You will operate various equipment and perform manual tasks to keep our operations running smoothly. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stage materials for production or shipping.
- Move raw materials and finished goods to designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Perform tasks that involve significant Lifting and manual Dexterity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Experience with heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of logistics flow within a warehouse.
