About
We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Worker to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This position is crucial for the efficient operation of our warehouse, involving a range of tasks from receiving and stocking to order fulfillment and shipping preparation. You will be an integral part of our logistics process, ensuring that goods are handled with care and efficiency. A strong focus on safety and adherence to procedures is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
- Inspect products for damage and report any issues.
- Stock received inventory into appropriate warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and assemble customer orders accurately.
- Prepare shipments for outgoing transport, including labeling and consolidation.
- Operate manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock management.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and security.
- Wear required PPE at all times while on the warehouse floor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and procedures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Reliable and punctual.
