We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to manage the movement of materials within our state-of-the-art distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our efficient logistics chain, ensuring that goods are safely and accurately transported throughout the warehouse. This position demands precision, adherence to safety regulations, and a proactive approach to material handling. If you have a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation, we encourage you to apply. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and moving inventory to and from storage areas. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with efficiency and care.
- Safely transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating machinery.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting and maneuvering of items.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
