Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the equipment and infrastructure within our state-of-the-art logistics facility. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, forklifts, automated sorting equipment, and other operational tools.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning optimally and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse environment, identifying and rectifying potential hazards.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies, ordering replacements as needed.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse personnel and management to implement process improvements.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Assist with the setup and installation of new equipment.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to recognize hazards.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
