We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including managing staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring the efficient and safe handling of all goods. Your leadership will be key to maintaining high levels of productivity, accuracy, and safety compliance. You will guide and mentor warehouse associates, enforce operational standards, and implement process improvements within our logistics network. A strong commitment to safety is essential, requiring rigorous adherence to protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance management.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure efficient workflow and productivity targets are met or exceeded.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory control procedures.
- Train and develop warehouse associates, providing guidance and support.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement operational strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize delays and disruptions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in WMS software and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
